Body Blitz Spa

You have to spa here!  And FYI ladies - this ain't a paid/sponsored gig.  I truly enjoy this downtown escape and want to share.  This beautiful oasis in Toronto is for women only and pampers you the minute you walk through the door.

My first time there was a treat from my honey and I really had no idea what a treat it was going to be!  I was booked for a massage which gave me full access to the spa and all it’s amenities which include, therapeutic waters / steam / sauna / great showers / and poolside snacks and beverages (for an additional cost). They recommend you arrive 90 minutes before your treatment so you can relax, unwind and enjoy the entire spa.  I even went back for another round after my massage!

Bookings are done with a credit card to hold the appointment but you can pay with cash or debit if you prefer, before you head in for your experience.

Guests have the option of enjoying the water circuit and spa facilities for a small fee.  If you're booking a treatment the spa facilities are included.

Access to the therapeutic waters allows you to indulge in the following:
*warm Dead Sea salt pool
*hot Epsom salt pool
*cold plunge pool
*aromatherapy steam room
*infrared sauna
*complimentary use of showers, lockers, towels, robes and sandals
(there are a full range of toiletries on hand for you to use including, shower products, hair care, styling products, skincare & deodorant. hair dryers are also provided)

There is absolutely no tipping.  NO TIPPING.  For many of us tipping is always a confusing moment.  How much to tip, what is the standard, do I give more, what if I don’t feel that “standard” tipping was warranted, how do you give the tip?  Many spas and salons in Toronto make it easier for us by having “tip envelopes” at the front desk so there are none of those awkward, cash in hand exchanges.  Body Blitz decided to make the whole thing easier and eliminate the tipping altogether for their treatments.  Yes, their prices are slightly higher than other establishments, but tipping is built in and you also have the benefit of enjoying the entire spa before or after your treatment which on it’s own costs $54 Wednesday-Monday and $44 on Tuesdays.

All of their therapeutic and aromatherapy massages are performed by a RMT and receipts can be issued for your insurance company.  Please review their policies regarding private group insurance for guidelines with regard to receipts.

Spa etiquette can be found on their website so read up before you go.  Robes, towels and sandals are all provided for you along with a locker/key and everything you need to shower and primp afterwards is also ready and available.  I love that the facility is well staffed and they are so sweet and accommodating. A big plus for me, being a tad germaphobic, is that it's feels and looks really, really clean!

Clothing is optional, which may feel uncomfortable for some but for others, it’s liberating. So feel free to experience the waters/spa in swimwear, semi or totally au natural.

While my daughter was back home in Toronto from university a few months ago, we spent an afternoon at Body Blitz complete with massages.  What a great way to unwind and spend some quality mother-daughter time without a single electronic device in sight!

Enjoyed the beautiful products you used while you were there?  Body Blitz products are available for purchase online or in their retail stores at either location.

As a downtownmom, getting there was super easy by TTC and it isn't in one of those hard-to-reach, slightly sketchy downtown neighbourhoods.  I love the original location on Adelaide.  Enjoy this oasis in downtown Toronto at Body Blitz’s two locations and tell me about your experience.
